Shelby: Mom! My leg bruise is changing to a different color!
Laura: What color is it changing to?
Shelby (pauses to inspect bruise closely): Vermillion.

Um….so I had to Google that to know what color it is. *sigh* Your daughter’s intelligence scares me just a little.

Her intelligence is a concern to me since I may not be able to carry on a conversation that I understand with her much longer.

Shelby never ceases to amaze me. Her vocalbury must be at college level by now. I have not googled the word but am going to guess its a shade of red.
